    Abstract: 本研究則是針對上述長期被忽略的「另類自我東方化」之主題研究。計畫主旨乃是要探討晚清國族論述中的「另類自我東方化」現象，並且側重晚清時期報刊資料所扮演的重要知識傳播角色，特別是針對那些來自日本、具有「本質論」和「化約論」（essentialism & reductionism）特色的關於中國的「東方主義式」論述，如何被晚清的知識界所認可挪用，作為自我集體認知和國族建構想像的典範之跨文化和跨語境的知識譜系解析工作。研究成果將有助於了解跨文化之間的複雜多元的思想互動影響關係。
