This thesis examines how Taiwan’s Ethernet switch industry—represented by Quanta Computer—has navigated the disruptions caused by the U.S.-China trade conflict and the COVID-19 pandemic. Through a case study approach, this research investigates the strategic supply chain responses and structural adjustments Quanta implemented to mitigate risks and ensure operational continuity. Guided by the Supply Chain Resilience (SCRES) framework, the study explores dimensions such as supply chain reengineering, agility, collaboration, and risk-aware culture. The findings reveal that Quanta adopted a phased relocation strategy, shifting production across multiple regions, implemented regionalized material planning, and enhanced supplier risk evaluation standards. These actions enabled the company to maintain delivery performance while addressing geopolitical and pandemic-related challenges. This research provides theoretical and practical insights into how hardware manufacturers can build more resilient supply chains amid increasing global uncertainty.
