    Title: 居住隔離、族群互動、與客語使用之關連分析

    Abstract: 客家人在臺灣社會尚不至於落入社會經濟地位弱勢，且其文化資本和社會網絡連結仍具高度競爭力。然而，「客語流失」，乃至客家人口成長面臨危機，仍是近來嚴峻的挑戰。在當前臺灣社會，地方性語言除了在都市化程度較低之地區，可能仍有其普遍性與流通性外，在多數都會地區國語已成了最具優勢地位的語言。臺灣語言生態的變遷（語言的維持、轉移與消失），除了與政經力量、族群通婚、個人社經條件有關，更是反映人口分布、族群互動，以及族群活力的影響效應。
    語言使用同時受到個人和家庭因素決定，同時也會和居住空間交互作用，尤其是在地的族群生態將會影響群體之間的互動與隔離，影響語言使用的可及性，畢竟，語言乃是溝通的工具。因此，本研究試圖採用三個途徑，檢視客語使用的課題：
    1. 個體層次上，個人的社經條件與人口特徵，如何決定影響客語使用。
    2 家庭世代間特徵，諸如父母的語言使用狀況、族群婚配模式，以及家庭社經條件，如何影響語言傳遞。
    3 空間上，族群生態（隔離與互動）如何作用於成員的語言使用狀態。
    本研究結合多層次分析與空間統計，探討族群生態與客語使用之關連，透過研究發現有助於瞭解：
    1. 個人與家庭、以及跨越世代的人口特徵和社經因素，如何作用於客語使用。
    2. 客家人口與其他族群在臺灣的生態關係。
    3. 客家人口與其他族群的居住隔離和互動狀況。
    4. 族群生態對於客語承傳、流失、和轉移的影響作用。
