    Abstract: 「台灣女礦工」不僅在勞動現實中是一個備受忽略的群體，她們的勞動、認同與生命歷程，做為學術課題也有待更多研究者耕耘。因此，就長期而言，申請人希望能以這個兩年期研究計畫為基礎，一方面建立數位化的資料庫，廣泛地蒐集相關的中外文獻、文物、報導、影像資料、網路訊息，以及我們的訪談逐字稿，以為本研究團隊以及日後的研究者建立起資料交流的平台。另一方面，本研究可以牽引出更宏大的研究關懷──有關「原住民礦工」的族群勞動社會學、「礦災」的災難社會學、「塵肺病」的醫療社會學、「煤鄉」的地方社會與集體記憶研究，以及台灣煤業/礦工的歷史社會學──我們相信，這是一個值得投注心力的課題，也是我們對台灣社會研究的重要關懷。
