Abstract:	本計畫預計完成的「跨國銜轉學生」教育民族誌（ethnography），將檢視台灣的「新住民」分類，並提供教育機關與工作者銜轉教育規劃之參考。在社會貢獻方面，跨轉生是21世紀出現在台灣教育現場的一群特殊學童，本研究透過民族誌方法描述這群學童在台生活、適應與學習的真實樣貌與需求，並對台灣銜轉教育政策提出建議，目標是讓他們發揮雙文化雙語言能力，將來作為台灣與國際的橋樑，這對台灣未來的社會與經濟發展都將會有其貢獻。在學術方面，台灣尚未有此議題的整合性深入研究，因此本計畫的執行，將填補台灣在國際移民兒童研究上的空白，同時也檢視過去台灣關於新移民與新二代研究中的不足，及反思「新住民」分類的適切性。
