    Abstract: 論述台灣與新加坡的關係時，多強調李光耀與蔣經國的友誼。雖然友誼常從1973年李光耀與蔣經國及蔣宋美齡見面後才開始，但李光耀到了1975年仍公開批評蔣介石。此外，李光耀在1954年成為反對黨領袖，以左派路線在1959年贏得總理大位，也因此和美國的關係直到1966年都不佳。若因意識型態而與美國關係不佳，李光耀應該也和親美又反共的台灣關係不佳，學界卻少探討李光耀與兩蔣不友好的部份。本研究以官方檔案及蔣氏父子的日記為基礎，探討李光耀從在野到執政早期與台北的關係。
    The personal friendship between Lee Kuan Yew and Chiang Ching-kuo is usually emphasized in the Singapore-Taiwan relationship. Although this friendship began with Lee’s meeting with Chiang Ching-kuo and Soong Mei-ling in 1973, Lee still publicly criticized Chiang Kai-shek in 1975. Moreover, Lee became an opposition party leader since 1954, won the premiership in 1959 by taking the left-wing, and therefore had poor relationship with the US until 1966. If Lee had a poor relationship with the US due to ideologies, he might also have poor relationship with pro-US and anti-communist Taiwan, but Lee’s unfriendliness with both Chiangs has rarely been discussed. This research aims to explore Taipei’s relationship with Lee Kuan Yew from opposition to first half of ruling period based on official archives and diaries of Chiang Kai-shek and Chiang Ching-kuo.
