摘要: | 「Podcast就是要夠reel!」真誠,經常被視為判斷Podcast節目優劣的關鍵標準。然所謂真實或誠懇,僅是情感的自然流露嗎?本研究以Bourdieu場域理論為基礎,採稟性分析切入Podcast創作者的聲音實作與語氣策略。透過半結構式深度訪談十位創作者與協作者,輔以節目文字介紹與公開講座內容等次級資料進行補充觀察,本研究指出,Podcast創作者所感知與展演的真誠感(authenticity)是一種社會實作——是創作者依據其社會位置、可支配資本與聲音稟性,在語音風格鬥爭中呈現「相對位置的真誠」。研究進一步歸納五類創作者與協作者位置,包括:廣電專業型創作者、個人職業型創作者、業餘興趣型創作者、組織型節目製作人與策展型制度參與者,描繪五種相應類型的「真誠感」展演形式。不同類型的創作者既得利於其資本條件也受制於其限制,展現雙重性。
本研究提出三項命題:(一)創作者的語音實作,展現其稟性與資本的結構性差異;(二)從場域中的擾動現象觀察場域理論應用的操作潛力(三)創作者以語氣策略回應場域規則。Podcast語氣風格的多樣化,尤其是真誠感的多種形式,並非個體理性能完全決定,而是由能動者對場域規則的理解、各項資本掌握程度與聲音品味的鬥爭所共同構成。本研究試圖補足現有文獻對聲音風格政治的忽略,並落實Bourdieu場域理論在非法國語境與新興數位文化中可行的轉化方式。 “Podcast has to be real!” In podcast culture, authenticity is often treated as a key standard of quality. But is such authenticity merely a natural expression of emotion? This study draws on Bourdieu’s field theory and employs a dispositional approach to analyze the vocal practices and vocal strategies of podcast creators in Taiwan. Based on ten semi-structured in-depth interviews with both creators and co-creators, supplemented with secondary sources such as program descriptions and public talks, this study argues that the sense of authenticity perceived and performed by podcast creators is a form of social practice—one that is shaped by their social position, available capital, and vocal dispositions, and enacted as a “positional authenticity” within ongoing struggles over vocal style. The study identifies five positions—broadcast professionals, full-time individual creators, hobbyist creators, organizational producers, and curatorial institutional actors—including both creators and co-creators, each associated with a distinct mode of authenticity performance. Different types of actors simultaneously benefit from their capital conditions while being constrained by them, thereby exhibiting a dual character in their practices.
It advances three propositions: (1) creators’ vocal practices reflect structural differences in their habitus and capital compositions; (2) disturbances in the field reveal the potential for locally adapting field theory; and (3) vocal strategies are concrete responses to the implicit rules of the field. The diversity of podcast vocal styles—particularly in their forms of authenticity—is not merely the result of individual rational choice, but emerges from creators’ interpretations of field-specific rules, their relative command of various capitals, and their struggles over vocal taste. This study seeks to address the current gap in the literature regarding the politics of vocal style and demonstrates the potential for applying Bourdieu’s field theory in non-French contexts and emerging digital cultures. |
