Abstract:	隨著數位資訊的普及，越來越多的新聞媒體工作者利用電腦與網路尋找新聞線索、挖掘新聞資料、蒐集新聞背景，或者查證報導內容。電腦資料庫儲存大量資料，記者必須具備解讀電腦資料檔案的相關技能：取得資料、詮釋資料內容的意義、並將這些訊息轉化成為新聞報導，展現在公眾眼前。雖然「資料庫輔助新聞報導」技術門檻己經降低，但還有許多人性因素引起的障礙待克服，例如資訊公開法制與記者的技能與素養。未來可能必須透過新聞與資訊科學的科際整合、加強這個領域的研究和教學方面，而協助記者解決實務工作上的問題。 News media today adopt many in formation technologies to assist journalists to process information. One of the significant changes for journalists in gathering information is the use of database as tools of reporting. This paper discusses the historical background and main issues of news media in using database-based reporting tools. The authors suggests an interdisciplinary approach in both research and teaching to develop effective strategies for the future journalists.
