    Abstract: 本書主要是針對儒學思想中的「具體性」之相關問題的探討，希望對於「儒學本質」的問題，能提供一深刻的反省，進而彰顯儒家思想中「內在超越性」的深刻內涵。本書的撰寫即是基於這樣的理念而作。基本上，本書的五個章節有其各自處理的焦點問題，如「語言觀」、「正統─異端」、「具體實踐」、「宗教性」、「一體觀」等，但是這五章的論述主軸，卻是以彰顯儒家的「具體性思維」特色為撰寫的策略。換句話說，本書的五個章節是環環相扣的問題，並且是以著「具體性」的視角深入儒學思想的底蘊，期盼經由「具體性」面向的分析討論，本書可以在上述不同的問題脈絡中，對於「儒學的本質為何？」之類的問題，有所回應，並為「內在超越性」的討論，提供一個思考角度。因此，本書照顧的面向雖然不同，但中心主旨卻是環繞著此一「具體性思維」而展開的著作，是以這五個章節的內容當為一有機的整體。
