Title:	企業主機系統軟體平台選擇模式的研究

Abstract:	參考「天下雜誌」並採用網路追蹤的方式，以台灣前五百大廠商的網頁伺服器平台選擇為研究對象，經過6年(1998年~2004 年)的資料收集，卻發現台灣前五百大企業，有八成是使用 Windows的主機做為企業的網頁伺服器，這和Garten Group的推論相左，所以若使用Total Cost of Ownership的模型來解釋企業對選擇主機的偏好，則解釋力不佳。因此，本文嘗試以系統開發的風險論點，來探討企業對於主機軟體工作平台的選擇。初期研究對像有二，前者是原本使用Apache在Linux或 Solaris平台上，而後改用Windows的IIS的廠商，共22家企業；後者是原來使用Microsoft而後改用Linux的廠商，共24家企業。以網站的難易程度、資料庫的複雜程度、CGI程式的需要量、需要維護人員的多寡，以及是否有Microsoft或Linux的平台上有相關的產品等因素，來分析軟體工作平台建構和使用軟體工作平台的可能風險，比對其平台選擇的決策，並以質性研究的方式，研究是否能以系統開發的風險，作為影響資訊主管對系統工作平台決策的因素。後續，再以網路所獲得前五百大企業網站結構的次級資料(Second Data)，運用Logistic Model來分析原來質性研究所得到的結果，是否具有足夠的外部性。
