Abstract:	除了產量與價格以外，廠商對產品品質的訂定也是追求利潤極大化的選擇變數之一，本研究之主要目的在於探討廠商從事對外投資對其所生產之產品品質的影響，並以台灣製造業對外投資廠商為樣本，作實證分析。本文利用兩階段的計量估計法，由實證結果得知，當我們對這兩階段的決策一起做計量估計時，這兩階段決策之間的相關係數值在10%的顯著水準下是不顯著的，因此我們便可對這兩階段分別作估計。由於第二階段是本文主要的探討主題，因此我們僅針對第二階段加以估計。由結果得知，「員工人數」以及「外銷接單由台灣出貨之金額之變動」等兩項因素顯著有提升廠商在國內所生產之產品品質，相較於其他原因而言，其品質提升的幅度分別為1%以及2%。然而「海外營業額佔總營業額之比率」則有顯著降低廠商在國內所生產之產品品質，相較於其他原因而言，其品質下降的幅度為1%。最後，投資於「越南」的廠商，將有顯著降低其在國內所生產之產品品質，相較其他的投資地區而言，其降低的比率為7%。
