Abstract:	本研究計劃擬以上中古時期傳世文獻以及地下出土文獻中的神話地理為研究主軸，進而探討神話地理所開展的空間論述、以及神話地理的地貌地景、神祇空間、方位空間及在中古文學中的書寫與想像轉化。破譯神話地理所構築出的地理空間與人文空間之間的隱喻關係，以及自然宇宙與心靈宇宙間的類比連繫。研究將以兩年為期，逐年進行。研究方法以文本分析為主，參酌運用文獻整理考辨法、文學人類學三重證據法，以及史蒂斯．湯普遜（Stith Thompson,1885-1976）的母題分析法。以上中古時期的傳世文獻以及地下出土考古資料為主，以具神話地理性質的神山、聖水或聖地，如山系的崑崙、懸圃，三危、不周；水系的弱水、赤水、丹水、甘露；谷系的暘谷、咸池；乃至於蒼梧、幽都等神話地理進行分類研究以及與神話地理相應神祇的象徵考察。由於這些神話地理常常也是具有象徵的地景，因此本研究將進一步考察神話地理在中古文學空間書寫中的深層象徵與宇宙思維。
