    Abstract: 在課堂上，學生與老師面對面教學聽講與互動，一直是大學教育主要採行的途徑。學生上課聽講應該對其課業學習有所幫助，而這一點可能也是學生願意花時間與精力去課堂聽課的主要誘因。如果平均而言，上課出席會顯著地增進學生的學習效果，我們似乎可以利用這項結果，來鼓勵學生出席，或是合理化教師們希望學生出席上課的要求。由於國內目前尚無相關的研究結果，所以本計畫主要的研究課題，即在於透過從資料實証分析的角度，來精確且不偏誤地估計大學生上課出席與否對其課業表現之影響。本計劃主要的目的在於收集並使用台灣的個體資料，同時透過追蹤估計法來分析大學生上課出席與否對課業表現的影響。本計畫主要之目的與可能的貢獻乃在於透更完善的資料蒐集過程，來處理之前文獻中無法控制的學校、教師、與科目效果。本計劃中資料蒐集的範圍將不受限於同一群學生、同一位授課教師、及同一門課。透過使用不同的學校、學科、任課教師、以及背景不同的學生的資料，我們將可更精確地估計與分析學生上課出席與考試表現的影響關係。
