    Abstract: 本計畫擬採用華人家庭動態資料庫(Panel Study of Family Dynamics, PSFD)，估計檢測影響台灣的教育選擇的因素，包括個人特質(personal characteristics)、家庭環境(family background)及政府政策(government policy)。個人特質包括、學業表現、個性和觀念；家庭環境則包括家庭財務狀況、父母教育程度、工作性質、省籍、對家庭教育的重視與否、資源的投入與誘因的提供、手足排序與個數等。政府的政策主要為1968年實行的九年國民義務教育，此政策對國人教育投資選擇有何具體影響？包括對不同省籍、不同城鄉間的影響效果；亦即九年義務教育是否具普及化的影響、或是對不同族群有不同程度的影響。另外，九年國民義務教育是否更有助於鄉村地區教育的提升？本研究將透過計量分析的方法包含Order Probit 的迴歸及Quasi-Experiment、Difference-in-Differences等政策評估方法之應用，以探討上述影響台灣教育選擇的重要變數和政府政策的影響，本研究結果將可提供政府擬定教育改革政策的參考。
