    Abstract: 本計畫的主旨，在推展與延伸「擬似定群（pseudo panel）分析法」，針對目前政治 學界定群追蹤（panel）研究較為缺乏之困境，局部克服以跨時橫斷面民調資料（repeated cross-sections, 簡稱RCS）進行動態推論的問題，並將該模型應用於政黨偏好之演變、 投票意向之穩定與變遷等實質議題。本計畫將針對方法與模型之研發、以及新模型之 應用兩個方面來進行： 一、 在方法與模型方面，本計畫根據動態分析的相關文獻，先回顧定群資料的分析 方法，以之為藍本，指出RCS 資料與定群資料相比之優缺點與特性，據以探討 以RCS 進行同質群（cohorts）層次、甚至個人層次動態分析之可能性與途徑， 也就是所謂「擬似定群分析法」（pseudo-panel analysis）。在執行步驟上，循序 漸進，先以最簡明的二分變數（binary variable）為起點，與定群追蹤資料相互 比較，找出以RCS 進行跨時分析的困難癥結所在，然後對症下藥，尋求克服之 道，繼而推而廣之，適用於政治學研究中常見之多項變數（multinomial variable） 之RCS 馬可夫鍊移轉模型（Markov chain transition model）。 二、 在RCS 馬可夫鍊模型之應用方面，將彙整政治大學選舉研究中心自1992 年以來 執行之全國性獨立橫斷式民調，以及「台灣選舉與民主化調查」中之全國性民調資 料（包括TEDS2001、TEDS2003、TEDS2004P、TEDS2004L），建立一完整之大型 資料庫，針對「政黨偏好」進行馬可夫鍊模型之動態分析，估計台灣近十餘年民主 化過程中，選民政黨偏好之淨變量與總變量，並以動態模型解釋其演變之軌跡 （trajectory）。
