    Abstract: 本研究將以東亞十國，除我國外尚包括日本、南韓、菲律賓、大陸、香港、新加坡、泰國、馬來西亞及印尼等為分析對象，涵括經濟發展程度較我國進步、與我國類似以及較落後的國家，而地理位置又彼此接近。從總體生產函數角度切入，建立總體生產函數模型，同時導入生產效率和生產力觀念，估計並分解各國總要素生產力與生產效率。如此，可以進行跨國比較，找出我國競爭優劣勢所在，進而學習他國優點，達到自我提升之目的。
    This research plans to study the sources of total factor productivity (TFP) change and efficiency change for ten East Asian countries: Hong Kong, Mainland China, Singapore, Japan, Thailand, Malaysia, Indonesia, the Philippines, and Taiwan. Using macroeconomic data, such GDP, labor, and capital, this research will provide the first comprehensive investigation of sources of growth that allows one to distinguish TFP growth from technical efficiency changes. Furthermore, by differencing the time series variables, which enables us to transform a nonstationary variable into stationary one, the spurious regression problem may be avoided.
