    Abstract: 在分三年執行的【在族國與全球介面中的社區營造：公民、記憶、與離散】研究計 畫中，我們第一年著重社區與國家的互動，也就是現代科層制社區興起的問題。參考「公 民社會」的理論與實務我們要研究的是：「公民社會」的理論文獻與政策論述，如何解 釋北台灣社區營造的成敗；第二年轉而分析社區與全球的互動，也就是研究以身體實踐 為記憶來源的傳統社區，如何遭到全球化資訊與資金的挑戰。在「集體記憶」對照「非 地方」(non-place)的理論關照下透過我們的經驗研究，我們質問：學術界「地方與集體 記憶」以及「空間對地方」的個別論戰中，孰是孰非？最後一年則回到族國與全球的介 面，用依人際及電腦網絡形成的、具文化混血性的「離散族群」概念比較國內外的相關 社區（如比較北市文化局與夢想社區分別支持的「國際藝術村」，以及研究大陸昆山與 長沙的台商與台醫聚落），以回答：不同的離散族群，對僑居地與母國的政治與政策看 法，有無系統性差異；隨著在僑居地的生活經驗增加，是否及為何發生於僑居地「在地 化」現象。總之，這未來三年的研究，試圖釐清中外社區從傳統以人體為中心的空間形 構，到現代以科層制為中心的形構，再到全球化以人際/網際網絡為中心的形構演變；即 釐清三大形構轉型的內外原因。
