    Abstract: 由於資料串流的特性迥異於傳統資料,再加上許多新興應用的推波助瀾,使得資料串流成為備受矚目的資料型態,舉凡資料串流管理系統(DSMS)的相關理論或應用雛型,皆為當前資料工程領域中熱烈討論的研究課題。為了滿足各種不同應用的實際需求,並且探討與解決現存資料串流管理系統所遭遇的種種問題與技術瓶頸,本計畫以研究DSMS的核心技術⎯連續型查詢(continuous query, CQ)之處理為主軸,開發此核心技術所需的各種關鍵技術;同時,本計畫更進一步地實際考慮感測器網路(sensor network)的環境,透過感測器特性之分析,發展感測器網路下之多查詢處理技術,並建立一實作系統作為使用者監測之用。
    During the last couple of years, many researchers have paid their attention to data stream management, which is much different from the conventional database management. At present, the new type of data management system, called data stream management system (DSMS), has become one of the most popular research areas in data engineering field. To satisfy all kinds of requirement in DSMS, we focus on the core technique – continuous query processing and have developed the key techniques for the concerned applications. Moreover, we develop the multiple query processing techniques for the sensor network by considering the real environment and the characteristics of sensors. Furthermore, a robust system is constructed for users to efficiently monitor the sensor network.
