At the turn of the 19th and 20th centuries Kantian philosophy and Marxism/Socialism occasionally met each other. By exploring the historical and theoretical context of this meeting, this article tries to signify its meaning in relation to the contemporary discussion of political/ moral philosophy or ethics: if the Sollen and Sein are to be separated, then they are also to be connected to each other, and the one-sidness of each may be the key problem in contemporary discussions of political/moral philosophy.
