    摘要: 本研究藉由內容分析法，統計國內立法委員非選舉與選舉期間，電視政治及立法委員新聞比例，以了解立委爭取電視新聞曝光機會之激烈程度與變化，並從立委表演行為呈現比例在非選舉與選舉時之差異，探討立委表演行為呈現比例偏高之原因。研究發現，非選舉期國內電視立委新聞比例為 6.5%，但選舉期顯著較非選舉期高(12.1%)，選舉期被報導機率反而較大；而立委表演行為呈現比例，非選舉期約六成，選舉期高達八成五。證實電視新聞中偏向播出使用表演元素的立委，且其原因非僅因為立委爭取電視曝光機會之競爭激烈，而在於立委對電視媒體性質之預期，愈需要曝光機會時則愈加強表演行為所致。
    This article explains why the legislators` showing behaviors take a large proportion in TV news in Taiwan by understanding and comparing how competitive the legislators earn TV news coverage, and the ratio of their showing behavior in TV news in election and non-election periods. By content analysis, the result indicates the ratio of legislator-related news to all the news is only 6.5% in the non-election period, significantly lower than the election period. It means the probability of coverage is higher in the election one. Besides, the ratio of showing behaviors in TV news in the election period is 59.8%, significantly lower than the ratio 85.7% in the non-election one. That clarifies the higher ratio of legislators` showing behavior in TV news is not only because the sharper competition of news exposure, but the legislators` more intense needs of exposure and their expectation of the character of TV news.
