    Title: 務實也是一種選擇：台灣民眾統獨立場的測量與商榷

    Abstract: 統獨議題對台灣政治的影響，幾乎無人能否認，但由於其同時蘊含「理念」與「務實」層面—它一則是個人政治認同的反映，再則又是關乎個人前途的抉擇—只是兩種考量一旦錯綜糾纏，結果將難以明確區辨，故學界對如何釐清台灣民眾的統獨立場，各有不同看法，彼此各持己見，教人莫衷一是。即便如此，目前最廣泛採用的測量方式，仍為所謂「統獨偏好六分類測量」，其特色在同時包容「理念」與「務實」成份，但學者對此質疑並試圖改進的方向，則在如何過濾、析離其中的「務實」考量，回歸並表現台灣民眾的真實「理念」。受此一傳統影響，本文作者乃針對上述測量中，每每超過六成民眾偏好的「維持現狀」選項，引進吳乃德所發展的「現實條件」，嘗試析離「維持現狀」選項中蘊含的「務實考量」，還原此類民眾的「終極價值」，並就此基於「純粹理念」的統獨測量，與前述包容「理念」與「務實」的「統獨六分」測量相比較，以台灣政治行為和態度的重要層面—投票行為、政黨認同—進行檢測，結果大出吾人意料，發現基於「純粹理念」的修訂測量，其模型區辨鑒別的能力，反不如納入「包容務實」的原有測量。由此可見，對於台灣民眾而言，統獨抉擇上的「純粹理念」並非關鍵所在，它反而是一個揉合「理念」與「務實」的選項。
