    Abstract: 2005年4月，中國大陸罕見地出現一波波聲勢浩大的反日群眾示威，抗議日本政府審核通過扭曲二戰日本侵略史實的教科書、爭取出任聯合國安理會常任理事國，以及進一步侵占釣魚台。此次遊行最引人注目之處，在於沒有任何個人或組織出面策動，號召遊行的通告均透過手機網路傳播；此外，就是出現砸毀日本牌子車輛、破壞日資商店、攻擊日本領事館，並且與保安發生衝突等非理性行為，各種對社會不滿的情緒似乎有藉群眾運動發洩的跡象。本文認為，中國的民間力量正逐漸勃發並產生自主性。由於現代科技帶來了局部言論及資訊自由，已經對中國政府的控制力造成挑戰，加上日漸自主的社會力量的興起，或許可以為中國建立「市民社會」的雛型。
