    Title: 學術評等的光與影

    Abstract: 在英語中,"評等"一詞具有雙重涵義:"層級系列"和"腐敗或污穢"。本文指出,學者在學術期刊發表研究的壓力來自于極度化的學術"評等"。本文首先陳述這種壓力的跡象,并探討影響因子和高等教育排行榜所引發的后果。本文將排行榜與四大發展趨勢相結合:1)專業技能的理性主義成為韋伯所強調的科層制權威的特征之一;2)高等教育管理和規制的政治化趨勢在新管理主義和學術評估中的高度體現;3)商業性學術出版的定價和資金籌措利用以上趨勢實現利潤的最大化;4)盡管編輯或期刊本身持反對觀點或重視期刊的不同目標,但卻只能在新規則體系中做出決定。在闡述上述四大發展趨勢的基礎上,本文將對筆者所編輯的期刊《比較教育評論》展開討論,指出排行榜的替代選項,并建議推進更具生命力和參與度的教育研究。具體而言,本文建議將學術論文作為學術交流的副產品,將此作為目前僅將影響因子視為判斷學術期刊質量的標準尺度的替代性或互補性方式。最后,本文主張期刊和讀者都應注重學術交流的內涵價值,將學術交流視為最重要的產物。
