摘要: This article suggests that in a global culture the content of education for tomorrow needs to be based upon today`s societal trends. The three unfolding and interactive trends in society today are globalization, localization and information growth. The article evaluates the way these three trends deeply affect the learning process and how they should be reflected in education. The article explores the effects of today`s rapidly changing society on education. A multi-modal pedagogical paradigm is suggested which is based primarily on multi-disciplinary knowledge, cross-disciplinary critical literacy, character development within values education, encouragement of life-long learning, and concentration on family, spirituality and religious ethics as the five areas in need of focus.
