Called by the Division of Biological Sciences of NSC, the proposed project aims to establish the installation of three pieces of equipment to promote basic research of neuroscience at National Cheng-Chi University (NCCU). While the neuroscience is blooming in global, the Institute of Neuroscience affiliated in the College of Science at NCCU focus on the study of neural plasticity investigated at the cellular and molecular level. With this Institute and some other departments at NCCU, it is a goal to combine varies approaches from cellular/molecular, behavioral/cognitive, and even further with social sciences jointly for integrated research. This project plans to install (1) automated liquid chromatograph system, (2) microscopic analysis system for cellular morphology, and (3) cryostat system. The estimated total budget for this project is 10490000 NT dollars. This project is expected to enhance the hardware and infrastructure of neuroscience at NCCU to develop a unique research platform for promoting mind-brain study in Taiwan.
