清末民初關於推類、辨名的言說，其中涉及自然名物及社會群已關餘的探究頗眾。苟于言「類」與「名」本就相關於政治及道德倫理課題，晚清民初學者如何在傳統知識中，運用相關思維與觀念藉以融通詮釋西學，這些學者所運用的苟學話語，又如何成為清末民初學者觀看世界思潮的方式與途徑？凡此相關問題，本文皆欲透過晚清民初學者專著、報刊文獻，以及翻譯著述等材料加以爬梳釐清。就「觀念」本身而言，往往源自於對於經驗世界的存在作抽象的歸納，以一些「字」或「詞」來表達對於繁複的現象界的統攝解釋。透過這些觀念字或詞的釐清，可以瞭解一個思想家是怎樣看持以及如何解釋這個生活世界（life world），其對這個經驗世界的意義掌握究竟為何？ In the Early Twentieth Century of Chinese, the discourses about ＂inferences of the category＂ and ＂distinction＂ which involved the exploration of natural and materials of the social group relations. Xun Zi ＂inferences of the category＂ and ＂name＂ are in the respect of the relevant political and ethical issues. How the Xun Zi discourses the scholars use become the ways and means that them watching the world trend. This paper clarifies the related issues, combing through monographs, newspapers literature, as well as translation of writings and other materials to the scholars in the Early Twentieth Century of Chinese. On the ＂concept＂ itself is often derived from the experience of the world for the existence of the abstract induction. And it expresses the complexity of the henomenon sector unifying explanation. in some ＂words＂. Through these words clarify the concept, and it could help us understand how an intellectual see through the world and how they explain the life world. And what is the meaning that he controls the world and how he exactly masters the significance of this empirical world.
