    Abstract: 本論文主要假設為自七○年代中期以來，中共面臨內在之繼承危機與權力重新組合的鬥爭；外在面臨蘇聯之安全壓力，以及美國對全球體系架構重新調整之趨向，和其因越戰併發症所引致在東亞地區的勢力收縮等因素，均促使中共與越南之間的關係自一九七五年以來逐漸惡化，而於一九七九年爆發懲罰戰爭。由一九七五○七九年間之變化，中越共關係可作為觀察中蘇共，中共、美國以及美、蘇之間區域性競爭下關係相互調整的縮影。此種區域性競爭，一則可由中共本身之角色調適，作為八○年代以後中共以及美蘇關係發展的研究基礎；一則可由中共與越南之間的轉化，發現中共戰略意願與戰略能力間的差異，並可藉以理解八○年代以來中共政策走向之基本原因。
