    Abstract: 原住民知識具有以人地關係之脈絡為基礎的特質，它既是對生存環境的細微觀 察，亦是人群文化對環境的動態調適過程；這些知識現代國家出現後被刻意的漠視或 邊緣化，往往是當代原住民族與國家之間在土地議題上衝突之根源。本子計畫的目的， 是以泰雅族為例，運用民族地形學的概念和研究方法，探討原住民的土地知識，並提 出如何結合這些知識於當代生活空間中之災害管理的建議。本子計畫將以泰雅族 squliq 語群為研究對象，採用文化穿越線調查、參與式製圖等方法，探討泰雅族 squliq 語群對於地形、水文的認識、對於水土之利用與維護的方式，以及其背後的生態邏輯 與價值觀，並將進一步對照「非都市土地使用管制規則」、「山坡地可利用限度分類標 準」等涉及當前原住民族土地使用與管理之制度，指出其與泰雅族人土地知識相衝突 之處，從而作出修改當前之土地管理制度之具體建議，使其在達成國土減災效果的同 時，亦能符合泰雅族人之土地分類邏輯與利用規範。
    Indigenous knowledge is a body of context-based knowledge that is built up by indigenous peoples’ close interactions with the land. The ignorance and denial of indigenous knowledge are usually the fundamental reason caused the conflicts between indigenous peoples and the state. Taking Squliq, a sub-group of Tayal people as example, this research adopts the concepts of ethnophysiography, reveals Tayal knowledge of land, and makes suggestion to the incorporation of indigenous knowledge in contemporary disaster mitigation. The methods adopted include cultural transect line survey, in-depth interview, and participatory mapping.
