Title:	臺灣日據時期水稻佃耕農場與自耕農場經營效率之比較分析

Abstract:	The Specific objectives of this paper were: firstly, to discuss the problems derived from tenancy system results in inefficiency of agricultural production through the investigation of the historical economic data. Secondly, by DEA, census data of paddy field in 1926 are used to test the operation efficiency of paddy farms. The major finding of this study is that the result of the invetigation from the historical economic data of 1926 and DEA empirical analysis is not favor of the argument which rented farms is less efficient than owned farms. 本文分為兩大部分，首先透過相關經濟史料的考察，對長久以來一直被普遍認為在租佃制度下所產生的諸多問題，造成了生產上的無效率，阻礙了農業發展的論點進行討論；接著採用臺灣總督府於一九二六年對稻作農場的普查資料，應用資料包絡法 (DEA) 對稻作農場的經營效率進行實證分析。從本文的研究結果中發現，無論是相關經濟史料的探討，或是 DEA 實證分析的結果，都不支持佃耕農場較無效率的論點。
