Abstract:	本論文除前言、結論外，共分五章十五節，約十萬言。第一章分析中國農村經濟的特性，民國初年農村衰落的情形及其癥結所在，高利貸資本的存在及弊端，以瞭解合作運動產生的背景。第二章就理論、宣傳、試辦三個連續面，來探討民初合作運動的發展，藉以明白此運動之性質與意義。第三章敘述華洋義賑會的成立及其賑災、防災工作，其後對信用合作的創義及合作教育的食施，以見華洋義賑會對合作事業的苦心提倡。第四章就組織、社員、資本、業務等各方面，分析和比較華洋義賑會指導下的信用合作社發展情形，並綜合其特點。第五章就政府的態度，輿論和農民的反應，及事後的影響，給予適當的評價，以確定華洋義賑會對民初合作運動的貢獻。文後並附錄河北省縣市、農村信用合作社章程、合作運動大事記，以供參考。
