    Title: 乾隆末年廓爾喀與西藏軍事衝突之始末及其影響

    Abstract: 西藏地方位居我國西陲，早自元初其地各大法王即接受朝廷束力封，明代武備雖弱，但西藏各地法王、土司于轉世、承襲之時，必須赴京陛見，已經成為其人在當地取得合法地位的保證，清初邊陲多事，西藏亦不例外，但以西藏僧界已有傾向朝廷之傳統，是以其內之亂，大多由于俗界之煽動，有清一朝，初期對于西藏的統治方式恩重于威，直至乾隆末年廓爾喀之役後才重大的改變，而這項改變的對象並非僅指西藏僧俗人眾，更重要的是制度上的影響，這就是我寫本篇論文的主要動機，其次就是若西藏學者以及外國學者在討論本次廓爾喀與西藏軍事衝突的事件時，多未能將事實經過交待清楚，是以令人產生錯覺誤以為當時的大清朝廷對西藏並未盡到照顧的責任，而將此二次衝突中的敗筆一味推由大清朝廷負責，在這些事件中最不明白的一事即「巴忠賄和」，經過資料的搜集與分析，事實的真相終于大白，這事件必須由西藏方面負擔其咎。本論文的目的並非企圖在漢藏之間追究數百年前的責任問題，但歷史事實必須謹慎還原，因此在本論文中或許有些許地方在西藏同胞看來多少有些刺眼，尚祈我西藏同胞海涵。
