Abstract:	第一章韓愈生平概述。第二章韓愈之思想：此章分為三節，第一節論述退之為何排斥佛老，維護儒家道統。第二節論性：敘述孟子，荀子、揚雄、王充諸家對於心性之看法，啟示退之言人性之品有上、中、下三者。第三節，政治主張：敘述退之繼承儒家傳統之政治主張。第三章散文研究，此章分為二節，第一節韓愈之文學觀。第二節，韓愈之創作觀。就其文學理論與作品，加以評述。第四章韓愈文論之發展及其影響：評述韓門二派，以李翱，皇甫湜為代表。
