    Abstract: 共產黨教人忘記歷史，他們自己也常常如此，但是歷史上有許多人物是無法自後人心目中抹去的；這些人物在歷史上的價值不因共黨的誣謗而動搖，他們的事蹟或一時掩沒在令人迷惘的史料中，但因他們曾在某上時代某一地方做過一些震撼人心的事情，他們的理想與精神確曾影響過一些人，他們就永遠不會為歷史所遺忘。當我們在歷史上追尋這些人，希冀從他們身上得到上結留給後人的啟示時，我們所要做的，當是以第三者的身分透出史料去接近他們、了解他們、思索這些人物何以在那個時代環境中做出那種與眾不同的事，他們的作法對當時和後代有何特殊的意義。而無須自一已有的價值結構上以強硬的二分法，去將古人歸類因為臧否人物原本就是一件困難的事，更何況去評斷一個身世下落都像謎一般的人物——例如本篇論文的主角王實味。
