Abstract:	本文共分六章: 第一章敘述生命表之正義、種類及生命表內容。第二章說明完全生命表簡略生命表之理論基礎，簡介修勻公式(Graduation Formula)及節錄Chiang C .L Introduction to Stochastic Process in Biostotistics一書第十章，說明生命表函數之機率分配(Probability Distributions life Table Functions)。第三章論及完全生命表及簡略生命表之編製方法並有系統之比較。第四章就台灣省居民生命( 民國四十五年一四十七年 )及台灣地區居民生命表( 民國五十五年一五十六年 )作一比較，與以台灣省政府民政廳所公佈之「民國三十九年至五十八年各年台灣地區居民簡略生命表」作一分析。第五章說明經驗生命快之編製方法。第六章總結以上五章。
