Title:	經濟趨勢調查之應用研究

Abstract:	有鑑於政府統計數據大多屬於「事後訊息的量化數據」，並且普遍存在發布時間落後性的問題而無法即時反映當下經濟情勢的變化，因此，本計畫將針對台灣的經濟成長率與景氣循環特性，利用「趨勢調查」資料建立合適的「混合頻率模型」。我們擬採用學術文獻上已相對成發展成熟的混合頻率資料抽樣（mixed-data sampling, MIDAS）模型，進行後續研究與分析。混合頻率模型的優點在於能直接納入所有不同頻率的資料，進而避免因事前將相對高頻的資料進行降頻的處理而忽略了原高頻資料中所可能蘊藏的有用訊息，此優點將有助於我們充分利用趨勢調查所有訊息，並透過模型建構與估計而提升對於當下經濟成長率或景氣循環的判讀。此外，混合頻率資料預測模型除了上述優點外，更可進行即時預測(nowcasting) ，主要係因趨勢調查結果可按月納入，新的趨勢調查結果一經各單位發佈即可透過我們建構的模型更新資訊與對應的預測結果，希冀此一即時性能有助政策決策者提早掌握景氣的可能變化，而提早採取因應作為。
