Introduction:
為配合我國科技發展潮流，積極培訓基礎科學人才，本校奉教育部核准設立應用物理研究所，於九十八學年度招收第一屆碩士班研究生，目前有專任師資三位，合聘師資三位及兼任教師二名，預計將再增聘數位專任教授，以加強本所教學及研究陣容。本所考量目前國內各大專院校應用物理所之現況及本校的整體發展，歷時六年的規劃。本校極具歷史與傳統，校區優美開闊，圖書資訊軟硬體設備充沛，師生互動密切，提供一極佳之研究學習環境。現期的發展重點除了凝態物理領域外，以物理方法、數學建模與計算模擬積極參與跨領域學科的研究，結合本校既有應數、經濟、社會、心理、資訊及管理等各強項領域，發展具政大特色之學術研究，並培育跨領域之人才。除此之外，在與中研院物理所密切合作下，本所期望能於未來發展成為國內別具一格的頂尖研究所。
