Abstract:	太古至現代所謂英雄之存在，為人類之理想形象而受到憧憬、景仰，英雄形象中所表現誕生、打倒怪物歷程、友情、死亡之英雄原型之普遍性，也象徵著芸芸眾生之生活經歷。本文探討日本中世文藝世界中，被視為英雄之義經與弁慶，探討二人如何被英雄原型描述。第一節中，敘述英雄形象之意義與英雄原型；第二節中，以義經與弁慶為例，根據源平對戰之史料深入問題；第三節中，自描寫源平對戰之《平家物語》中，分析英雄如何被形象化；第四節中，在其影響成立之文藝作品中，藉由義經與弁慶英雄形象之描寫，瞭解普遍性之英雄原型，以及隨著時代演變所呈現之不同樣貌。
