    Abstract: 因果通道模型（Funnel-of-Causality Model）是說明一個人在某一或長或短時期中形成意見的最簡單方法：受測者接受測量時，除了外來刺激，同時也保留他生理的稟賦與過去經驗，也就是在受測時，先有了若干態度與意見，這些都是她過去因果通道的產品，而這些產品多少可以分門別類予以測量，也可稱為「存在的態度結構」（Existing Attitude Structure）。

    意見的形成以因果通道模型來分析能獲得很大的幫助；因果通道模型最合用的方式應把所研究的問題推及過去的一切有關歷史事件都包含進去做一個起點，另外以大口的通道化成錐形本體，代表有關的範圍與在時間進展中形成決定的焦點效果。

    但這大口也有限制，它不光受個人智識範圍或其自信的智識範圍的限制，也受到實質性與文化性的限制使其見無以產生，以此就無民意可言，這就是民意形成的「限制因子」。另外，意見如何在因果通道中被定型下來？則需考量形成意見的「影響因子」，就是促成某種意見的觀念、信心、事件以及一切意見。

    而不同問題意見形成的程序可長可短，也可能忽然中斷，一切事實、經驗、研判所形成的限制因子與影響因子可能在多種濃度與多種結論中構成無數的組合；也會使立錐形產生矮胖、深長或是半截等不同型態的變化。
