    Title: 視覺障碍者傳播型態及其現代化生活適應之研究

    Abstract: 本文先就視覺障礙者，也就是所謂的「眼盲」進行定義，依「盲」的稱度不同，可以分為「全盲」與「弱視」，成因也可分為「先天性」與「後天性」兩種。但無論如何，視覺障礙者生活於以視覺文明為基礎的社會，不但被剝奪了一個有效的學習工具，而且不得不適應一個非為他們設計的文化環境。而眼盲者也需要與外界溝通，只是其傳播的通道與媒介與眼明者有相當差異。

    這即是「傳播型態」（Type of Communication）的不同，本文以莫利爾（John C Mrrill）人際傳播作為分析眼盲者的傳播型態。此外，眼盲者在社會中生活，所需要面對的是「現代化」的過程。本文所指的現代化意謂傳統社會的過程中適應新功能的一種動態過程。同時，「適應」也是本文所要探討的研究目標之一。

    因本研究所分析的對象－視覺障礙者－有其特殊性，故採「特定調查研究法」，以立意抽樣的方式來決定受訪者；在應變數上，包括：現代化程度、焦慮程度與適應能力三大部分，本文分別以現代化程度量表、盲人焦慮量表與貝爾適應量表來進行測量。

    經本文研究分析後可發現，就視障者而言，親身傳播以口頭傳播為主，大眾傳播則以廣播媒介之接觸為主，同時，親身傳播的影響力遠甚於大眾傳播；而視障者的現代化程度越高，適應能力也越強。在焦慮程度方面，後天性盲人比先天性者焦慮，此外，焦慮程度與適應程度程負相關。
