    Abstract: 「日本の若者は政治に関心がない 」。決まり文句のように語られて きたこのフレーズが権威を失う事実が、ここ数年、相次いで起こっ ている。そう論じると、多くの読者は 2015 年夏に盛り上がりを見せ た、安全保障関連法案への反対デモ活動を思い浮かべるだろう。 こ れまで静かであった日本の有権者たちが、明らかに自らの声を上げ るようになってきた。これは顕著な変化といっていいだろう。 しか し、本稿で扱うのは、こうした政治的な主張の発露ではな い。 むしろ、その基盤を形成している、 若者たちの国家や社会問題への 関心の変化である。ゆとり教育の正の遺産である「考える力」を持 ち、選挙による政治の変化のなかで「変化の可能性」を感じ取り、 3.11 の悲劇に際会して「動くこと」を体験した彼らは、現実政治と は距離を取りつつも、目の前にある課題を解決すべく様々な活動に 取り組み始めている。この変化を構造的に捉え、支援し、 共に動いて行くことは、とも すると逼迫感に苛まれる現代日本において、時代を変革する大きな 処方箋となるだろう。
