Title:	密蘇里新聞學院對中華民國新聞教育及新聞事業的影響

Abstract:	本文以密蘇里新聞學院與中華民國新聞教育及新聞事業之間的關係做描寫。密蘇里新聞學院與我國新聞界及新聞教育界關係密切，曾協助我國創出第一個新聞學系－上海聖約翰大學報學系，也協助燕京大學恢復新聞系，更和燕大新聞系實施交換教授及學生的交流計畫，此計畫也造就了兩位駐美大使－沈劍虹與董顯光對我國新聞界的貢獻。在抗戰期間，密大新聞學院校友則是以筆為槍，和全國軍民同胞共赴國難。民國三十八年大陸淪陷後，密大新聞學院校友也在這段期間，為恢復新聞教育與重建新聞事業，在台灣立下許多汗馬功勞。密大新聞學院是全世界第一所新聞學院，對美國新聞教育的影響也十分深遠，該學院引導新聞教育跨出傳統人文科學的領域，朝社會科學及更深一層的理論與研究方法方向發展。另外，為了使新聞教育能配合傳播科技的發展，密大新聞學院也將成立電訊傳播中心，同時目前也有媒介可信度研究中心等機構，讓密大新聞學院不僅是在美國，更在國際上享譽數十年不墜的名聲。
