    Abstract: 芥川龍之介の「ピアノ」は関東大震災を背景にし、大正14年(1925)に発表された。作品は千四百字未満、四百字詰原稿用紙に四枚程度で、芥川の短編小説の中でも極めて短い方である。「ピアノ」は発表当時殆ど語られることも無く、これまで関連する先行研究も見かけない。しかし、「ピアノ」におけるスケッチ風の創作技巧、また、作品から滲み出ている詩的な表現など、芥川が早期から標榜する〈詩的精神〉の本質が強く見られる。本稿は「ピアノ」の創作技巧と芥川の文芸論の繋がりを検討した上で、芥川が「私の出遇つた事」を素材にした小品の中で、最も注目される「蜜柑」とを比較し、作者の作品における心境、思惑などの分析を通して、この小品の本質を最大限に引き出すことにしたい。
    芥川龍之介的〈鋼琴〉,以關東大地震為背景,發表於大正14年(1925)。〈鋼琴〉全文不及1400字以400字的稿紙書寫僅4張的作品,在芥川的短編小説當中,可說是極短的一篇。不僅發表當時甚少被言及,迄今亦罕見有先行研究論及。但〈鋼琴〉以繪畫式描述的創作手法及作品蘊含詩般的意境,正是芥川極其一生所標榜的「詩的精神」的創作手法。本論擬以〈鋼琴〉的表現形式與芥川的藝術論之關連為問題意識,繼而與在芥川文學中,同以「我所遇到的小事」為題材的小品中,最受矚目的〈橘子〉作比較,藉此浮現作者隱藏於〈鋼琴〉字裡行間之情感與思索,期讓此一小品之精髓更清晰呈現。
    Piano of Ryūnosuke Akutagawa is based on the Great Kantō earthquake in 1923 and was published in 1925. Piano includes less than 1,400 words, only our pieces of paper with 400 words per piece. Among the short fictions of Ryūnosuke Akutagawa, Piano is extremely short. It was rarely mentioned during the time of the publication and hardly studied in previous research. Nevertheless, painting description and poetic climate in Piano refer to the creative technique boosted by Ryūnosuke Akutagawa throughout his life: "poetic performance". This study aimed to analyze the work by the expressive form of Piano and the art theory of Ryūnosuke Akutagawa. By comparing it with Tangerine, the most popular short work based on "little things I encountered" in the literature of Ryūnosuke Akutagawa, this study explored the writer`s underlying affection and thoughts in Piano and showed the essence of this work.
