Abstract:	2000年5月The Dualist and the Stanford Philosophy Department對戴維森(D. Dasvidson)教授所作的年度訪問紀錄中的最後一個問題是關於他現有及未來的哲學規劃，在回答中，戴維森教授提到了四個規劃，其中一個是寫一本關於知識論的小書，以闡述他的三角測量的外部主義理論(externalist theory of triangulation)。事實上，近二十年來，戴維森一直在發展他的外部主義以及三角測量，數年來我也努力的試圖理解他在這方面的想法以及它們的哲學意含。不過得知戴教授有上述的規劃，增加了一些我對本書的詮釋架構的信心，因為，本書的主要內容是探討戴維森的三角測量以及闡明它在知識論上的一些含蘊。
