    Abstract: 本研究計畫係以計畫主持人迄今在法圖像學議題上的研究成果為基礎，進一步針對日治時期台灣的公共空間，特別是以當時殖民者在政治地景（political landscape）上所實施的「抹去重寫」（palimpsest）的策略，以及相應而來一系列公共建築的塑造為例，來反思日治時期台灣殖民社會中所可能隱含的法律與權力之交疊關係。
    This research project aims to review the overlapping relationships between law and power with the example of Taiwan`s public space during the Japanese colonial era. On the basis of the project leader`s past studies on the legal iconology, this project will analyse the "palimpsest strategies" of the Japanese colonialist adopted in the construction of political landscape and public buildings.
