Abstract:	中國國民黨第六屆中央執行委員會臨時全體會議只有一個議題,即討論中國國民黨對行憲后第一任總統、副總統候選人的提名問題.但是由于中國國民黨總裁蔣中正在會議中聲明不參加總統競選,引起與會者的震驚,使會議討論的重點由黨是否要提名總統、副總統候選人,轉變為總裁是否應該參選總統.最后在與會者集體表決以及尊重蔣中正個人主張的情形下,對于總統、副總統候選人提名問題,會議形成與會者一致同意的決議:請總裁為第一屆總統候選人，遵照總裁之指示,本屆總統、副總統之選舉,本黨不提候選人.
