Abstract:	《敵乎?友乎?——中日關系的檢討》一文曾被視為國民政府于1930年代對日政策的一篇重要宣示,研究者亦多將其附于戰前中日關系相關研究中討論,亦有針對該文進行專門討論者,然而就該文本身而言,仍有若干值得討論的地方。就相關資料分析,本文認為《敵乎?友乎?》雖然登載于1934年12月20日出版的《外交評論》第3卷第11、12期合刊,但是由相關數據來看,該文應該在1935年1月中旬完成,所以會刊登于前一個月出版的刊物,合理的解釋,應該是該刊延遲出版所致。至于由徐道鄰署名刊出,應為蔣中正之決定。該文之內容,為蔣氏對中日問題的意見,目的在傳達政府應調整對日外交政策之訊息。而蔣氏關于調整中國對日政策之意見,雖然為其個人主張,但實際上與汪兆銘取得了一致的態度,兩人對于調整對日外交方針有共同的認知。《敵乎?友乎?》刊出后,在國內引起相當重視,日本方面亦對該文提出批判。然而該文內容過于敏感,為避免刊出后可能引發之政治效應,以他人具名較無顧慮,使徐道鄰成為被批評的對象,蔣氏得以從旁觀察各方意見。另外,蔣氏此時的工作重心仍在"剿共",對于中日關系只是關切,而非其主要工作,此亦為其在所謂《秦土協議》、《何梅協議》簽訂之后,處理對日外交留...
