    Abstract: 政治制度的研究曾經沉寂了一段時間。近幾年,隨者外在環境的變化以及政治學界自身的反省,政治制度又重新受到大家的重視。本文檢視了傳統研究途徑與理性抉擇研究途徑在政治制度研究上的差異,並作了一些評估。 整體而言,作者認為政治學〈包括政治制度的研究在內〉應該而且也有能力朝著更科學化的路途邁進。從杜維雪法則的例子,可以看出,這並不是遙不可及的,在建構政治科學方面,作者認為,理性抉擇研究途徑,相較於傳統研究途徑,應更具潛力。
