    Title: 大學課室國際化之教與學: 挑戰與機會

    Abstract: 本研究為我 100年度國科會計畫 (NSC100-2410-H-004-211) 的延伸，旨在探討台灣高等教育 國際化後教室裡所出現的挑戰與機會。在該項先前研究中，我探索三十五位西方外籍生在台 灣一所大學的學習經驗。研究結果顯示這些學生大多無法適應在台灣所接受到的課程內容與 老師的教學方式。該研究並指出三個重要議題需要進一步探索，即：一、若我們想更深入了 解外籍生的學習經驗，我們必須探究台灣老師本身對學習持有何種信念，因為過去研究顯示 大學教師的學習理念會反映在他們所使用的教學法上；二、外籍生與本地生在課業方面缺乏 互動，原因何在；三、適應是一種過程，外籍生的學習經驗與他們對這些經驗的解讀可能隨 時間而改變，因此，我們應該研究這些改變。這三個議題強調了跨文化學習的研究不只應探 討外籍生的經驗與觀點，地主國老師和學生的經驗與觀點也同樣重要。因此，在這項新計畫 中，我將從這三方面擴展先前那項研究，來檢視國際化對大學裡教與學的衝擊。首先，我將 探討教授外籍生的台灣老師對學習持有的信念。其次，我將探索台灣學生與西方外籍生一起 修課的經驗。第三，我將追蹤參加先前那項計畫的幾位外籍生，深入研究他們適應台灣學習 環境的過程。這項研究將為質性研究，使用訪談及問卷蒐集資料，並繼續使用 Maton 的 specialization codes of legitimation為理論架構。本研究將幫助我們深入了解國際化對台灣高等 教育中教學與學習的影響。
