Abstract:	本文旨在說明「意見轉變」的兩種研究取徑：「失諧律」與「功能律」。「失諧律」假定人性會追求特定信仰，此外，人們的態度與行為之間是一致的，這些態度與行為也會與環境相互協調。因此，當人們的理性與感情觀點發生了失諧，或不同態度出現了失諧，他們會直接或間接地轉變自身態度來尋求協調。「功能律」則假定人們的態度具四種功能：(1)工具性功能：人類會爭取外在環境之最高收穫，並減少其損傷；(2)知識功能：人類會追求知識，以便對這個混亂世界賦予意義；(3)價值表現功能：態度能說明人們的中心價值以及他是怎樣的人(4)自我保衛功能：當人們承認自己的基本真相或面對外界的苛刻現實時，會進行自我防衛，以避免認知失諧。
