Abstract:	ASEAN 地域統合の発展は 1967 年の東南アジア諸国連合（ Association of Southeast Asian Nations, ASEAN）の創設とともに動き出した。創設後 20 年近くはその足取りはゆっくりしたものであったが、ポスト冷戦期に入ると発展のスピードが一気に加速した。特に 1997 年に ASEAN 加盟国で ASEAN ビジョン 2020 を策定し、2003 年にインドネシアのバリで開催された首脳会議で ASEAN 経済共同体ブループリントと後続の行動計画が定められてからは、ASEAN を新世紀へと導くべく共同体の構築という目標に向かって、統合にかかる作業を深化させていった。本研究は現在の地域協力や統合に向けた活動の目的である平和、共栄の構築、および制度化の 3 つの方向から、 ASEAN 統合 50 年の歴史的・戦略的意義を探る。そして、 2017 年の ASEAN 輪番議長国を務めるフィリピンが得た戦略的機会と具体的な成果を分析し、最後に ASEAN 共同体の次の 50 年の課題について全般的な整理と分析を行う。
